A character with lots of attitude and anger at the tip of her nose, Nikita Sharma plays the role of Mithu in the show Khatmal-E-Ishque. Mithu is a pampered & spoilt brat who is raised by three of her mamas; she is the apple of their eye. However, she is married to Shivam (Himanshu Soni), who tries to change her lifestyle and win her heart.
In conversation with here’s all that the lady had to say about the show and her character.

Tell us about your character.

My character Mithu is a highly pampered child. She has a lot of attitude and portrays herself as a princess. I always wanted to do a character like hers. I fancied playing a character who has a lot of attitude and behaves like a queen of the world and Mithu is exactly the same. She is a diva, who has never heard a ‘No’ from anyone. She believes that she has the right to do everything and anything.

How would you relate yourself with your character Mithu’?

I am the complete opposite of my character. I cannot relate anything to her specifically. I am very calm and composed in my real life. I am that kind of person who can be calm even after you push me till my last nerve. I believe that one should not react when someone is angry or annoyed, don’t give any person the satisfaction that they can frustrate you.

You are working with a great set of actors, how well do you bond with them?

We have always been taught to respect our elders, learn from them and that’s what I do. All my co-stars are very elder to me. They have their own set of work experience. I get to learn a lot from them. But I connect easily with my on screen Nani (Minakshi Sharma)and Shivam (Himanshu Soni) who plays my husband. Nani is very sweet, she brings homemade food for me and takes care of me on set whereas Himanshu makes everything very comfortable for me while doing the scenes. He is a great actor to work with. I am pampered on-screen as well as off-screen.

Three mamas (Atul Parchure, Shekhar Shukla, and Prasad Barve) in the show are great comedians. Share your experience sharing the space with them.

Oh! I loved working with them. All the three Mamas are fantastic. They are the legends in Indian comedy genre. Comedy comes very naturally to them. While I was shooting my first scenes with them, I didn’t realize I would do it so naturally because we didn’t get the chance to rehearse together. But then they made everything so easy and comfortable that I enjoyed every minute while working with them.

Good luck Nikita!
