Meet the NEW lead of Star Plus’ ‘Mere Angne Mein’!
While Ekta Kaul bid goodbye, this actress will be replacing her.
Star Plus’ ‘Mere Angne Mein’ has managed to be a sleeper success and we say this because, the show has been airing at an unconventional evening slot and has been running for over a year and a half.
Actress Ekta Kaul, who was the face of the show since its inception recently bid adieu, which left the fans of the show disappointed. However, as cliche as it gets, the ‘show must go on.’
As Ekta had notified the makers of the show well in advance, they have been on the lookout for a new face for quite sometime now.
And it seems like the search has finally ended. According to a leading news portal, actress Richa Mukherjee has been roped in to play the NEW lead in the show.
Richa was last seen in Life OK’s fantasy drama, ‘Nagarjun – Ek Yoddha’ opposite Mrunal Jain.
It will so happen that Richa’s character will be hailing from the city of Benaras, where she would be a victim of domestic violence. After facing extreme trouble and getting ousted from her house, the already-married girl would want to end her life.
And you must have guessed it already, she will be rescued by Riya’s family and will thus enter the Shrivastava household. Riya will breathe her last while giving born to her baby and Richa’s character will be seen getting attached to the new born.
