Choreographer Terence Lewis, who is seen as a judge on “So You Think You Can Dance ‘Ab India ki Baari'”, paid tribute to late actor Amrish Puri on the singing reality show by dressing up in the late actor’s Mogambo avatar.
As it was a costume special episode, the jury, hosts and contestants on the show were given the challenge to don the look of their favourite character.
Lewis, who is seen on the judging panel alongside Bollywood’s dancing diva Madhuri Dixit-Nene and choreographer Bosco Martis, chose to portray his all-time favourite villain, Mogambo.
“I am very happy as I got the opportunity to portray my favourite character and pay tribute to one of the legendary actors of Bollywood, Amrish Puri. For this challenge I preferred to play an Indian character so that I can connect with the audience easily,” Lewis said in a statement.
“It was a difficult task as we had to choose and prepare for the character in one night. I hope the audience will like my effort put in the challenge,” he added.
The show, which is an Indian version of the internationally acclaimed reality format “So You Think You Can Dance”, is aired on &TV.
