The actress makes her TV debut with Ekta Kapoor-Sandiip Sikcand’s upcoming show..
Star Plus is all set to revolutionize television as it will be introducing an array of new shows for revamping the afternoon slot. While, every show has its unique approach, breaking several stereotypes is Ekta Kapoor and Sandiip Sikcand’s upcoming venture, ‘Dhhai Kilo Prem’.
The show is about an overweight boy and a girl with dreams where the sky is the limit. While Meherzan Mazda has been on TV for a while, actress Anjali Anand makes her debut on television with this show.
In a vis-a-vis conversation with Anjali, she shared how unexpectedly she bagged the show.
She said, “I was a choreographer by profession before turning to this show. I had a meeting at a coffee shop and the people I was supposed to meet were running late. I ordered food to kill my time and noticed that the group of boys sitting next to my table were leaning towards me. I found it odd but did not pay heed and out of nowhere, I saw Sandiip (Sikcand) walking up to me and offering me a role in his project. I auditioned for it the very evening and that’s how I bagged the show.”
We also asked her if she recognized Sandiip Sikcand, to which she responded, “I am a filmy person and I fall in love with every character I watch in a film. I had seen Sandiip’s brilliant performance in ‘Murder 2’ and I knew it was this person whom my sisters work with. When I went back home I re-confirmed that the actor I saw in ‘Murder 2’ was Sandiip or not?”
“I knew he was an actor but I did not know that he is a creative for Balaji Telefilms as well! I am glad to be working with a creative mind like Sandiip.”
