“I’d rather wait for a good script.” – Debina Bonnerjee

Debina Bonnerjee’s last outing on television was Yam Hain Hum and the Bong actress is in no hurry to get on with the next project.

Debina Bonnerjee Choudhary playing Sita in a mythological show was as convincing as tickling the funny bones of the audiences with Mayuri in Chidiya Ghar. And now the actress now is waiting for the right script to come along.

Her recent transformation has been commendable from losing kilos to cutting her locks short that made her go from the girl-next-door to a more glamorous avatar. But now that she is on a break from TV, we quizzed the actress about her plans on the acting front.

Debina said, “There has been no break. I emerged myself in doing things I never got time for while working on my daily soaps. I’m glad for the projects that come to me but I’d rather wait for a good script.”

Debina opened up how she is offered more of supernatural character roles, “I’m sure the current hot topic on TV is introducing supernatural characters in the on-going which is working fine for them but I’ve let go of these roles that I’ve come to me because I want to be a part of a show that my mother would like to sit down and watch, not for the fact that I’m a part of it but for its content. Until I find a script which is high on content, I’ll continue to try different things and go with the flow.”
